「遠足しよう」、このフレーズはサバカン結成以前よりメンバー間でお決まりのフレーズとして存在していました。シリーズField Trip、これは遠足をテーマに行われるプロジェクトの記録です。第一弾では先の展覧会「夕方帰宅してみると」のテーマで扱ったフランツ・カフカの小説の翻訳者であり、ドイツ文学、ヴァルター・ベンヤミンの研究者である浅井氏のご自宅を訪ねます。

“Let’s go on a field trip”. Since we started working together as Sabbatical Company, we often expressed an interest in a field trip and presenting and archiving the materials we produced through the trip. The first field trip was to visit Mr. Kenjiro Asai. He is the translator of Kafka’s short novel “When I came home in the evening”, which became the motif of our first exhibition, and is a researcher of German literature and Walter Benjamin.
